For more information on our culture and processes, please check out our How We Work guide.
We are a company run by developers, building a core product for all developers. That's great because we can use our product as we build it, and we build what solves our problems.
We are product-first engineers, which means we are constantly focusing on the user-experience, and make all of our engineering choices with the goal of building the best product we can for our users.
We believe we will ultimately build the best product and business if that team includes developers from a wide range of backgrounds.
We value reason and pragmatism in making our decisions, and avoid hierarchy. We are pragmatic about our engineering and planning process, and are always trying to improve it.
As a company focused on elevating developer productivity, we try not to waste time on unnecessary meetings and communication.
To this end, we put down in writing How We Work, so that we can all get on the same page about our processes - e.g. how big should a PR be? Pair programming: why do we do it and how do we do it? How should we organize a meeting? When to use slack rather than an email, and so on...
We are primarily in NYC and SF right now, but you can be anywhere, as we are building a distributed company.
The role comes with a highly competitive salary, significant equity grant, and full benefits.
