In this post, we walk through how to get started with Warp. Watch the below videos for an example of how you can use Warp to solve a real bug in Warp.
This guide is tailored towards people who are new to coding in Warp. It offers a broad overview of some of our coding features— dive into the docs to learn more.
Chapters:
- 1. What you see when you open Warp
- 2. Kicking off a coding task and adding context
- 3. Collaborating with agents: Editing code and managing autonomy
Chapter 1: What you see when you open Warp
Quick tour and explanation of what Warp is. This module is best geared towards people who are entirely new to Warp.
Chapter 2: Kicking off a coding task and adding context
We introduce the project we’ll build and press go on our first prompt, attaching an image and a file in our directory as context. We’ll walk through an overview of other types of context you can add, like URLs.

Chapter 3: Collaborating with agents
This video highlights Warp’s code-editing features. We give a brief intro to different ways Warp lets you interact with what agents have done— asking them to refine their work, or making edits directly without leaving Warp.
We also put agents into "YOLO" mode in this segment, auto-accepting all future changes.
Check out the docs to learn more about reviewing agent code and managing agent autonomy.
